In 1989, it was acquired by Manolo Rus and José Jiménez, who launched a family project full of enthusiasm, planting a seed in everyone’s hearts called extra virgin olive oil, which has become a passion and a way of experiencing the land and culture of Jaén.

Their centuries-old olive trees are situated in prime locations in the Guadalquivir Valley. Nature provides the finest fruit every year; it simply needs to be cared for and nurtured to produce extra virgin olive oil of exceptional quality.

Building on its original construction from 1927, Oleícola San Francisco has successfully adapted to the future with modern, versatile and efficient facilities. They have sought to preserve the essence of the old building within a modern 21st-century oil mill.

The old cellar and the press room now serve as the entrance to a state-of-the-art processing area, modern and equipped with the latest technologies in the sector. In just 20 metres, we can take a journey through the history of olive oil, from what it was to what it is today.

Oleícola San Francisco passes all the necessary legal inspections every year to maintain its certification as an organic producer. The company is highly committed to environmental protection and therefore strives to ensure that its operations have the least possible impact on nature, offering natural products with the highest quality standards.
