Capacity 500 ml

Early harvest extra virgin olive oil, cold pressed in Bailén (Jaén) from Picual olives harvested at the beginning of October, on the first day of the harvest.

It stands out for its intense green colour, smooth texture, full body and very bright appearance.

The nose reveals a highly intense fruitiness with a predominance of green notes. The main notes are of leaves and freshly cut grass, although there are also fruity nuances such as banana and fig, as well as aromas of tomato plants and mint.

On the palate, it has a silky texture and a pleasant attack. The attributes perceived on the nose are again appreciated, with the addition of others such as artichoke and green wheat, resulting in a fresh, fruity and green flavour. Bitterness and pungency are present in harmony at medium intensities. It is a complex oil due to its variety of nuances, harmonious and elegant.

Food Pairing: This is a very versatile oil, perfect for enhancing the flavour of salads, toast, mild cheeses, grilled vegetables, lean meats and steamed or grilled white fish.

Picualia was founded in the heart of the province of Jaén (Andalusia) and has been considered one of the companies that has most revolutionised the olive oil sector in recent years.

This cooperative was formed in 2009 as a result of the merger of Agrícola de Bailén and Virgen de Zocueca, two agri-food cooperatives that decided to name their powerful, modern oil mill Picualia, highlighting the fact that the variety of fruit they harvest is Picual. This variety has the most antioxidant effects and is the healthiest of the 2,600 types of olives found in the world.

This process gave rise to one of the most innovative and renowned companies in the sector in the production and marketing of extra virgin olive oils from its own harvest, being distinguished in 2016 as the Best Oil Mill in Spain according to the Spanish Association of Olive Municipalities (AEMO).

Picualia's solidity and dedication to producing one of the best extra virgin olive oils in the world speaks for itself. With more than 50 national and international awards, Picualia occupies a prominent position in the ranking of the best olive juices harvested year after year. In 2025, the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food awarded it the prestigious Alimentos de España Award for Best Extra Virgin Olive Oil in the ‘Sweet Green Fruity’ category.

The harvesting of the fruit is essential to understanding the reasons behind the formats offered by Picualia. To do this, we must differentiate between the first three months of harvesting: October, November and December. During these months, the fruit actively changes colour as it ripens, going from a green, optimal and turgid fruit in October, used to produce the Premium range, to a fruit in November that is veraison, purplish and with the first signs of ripeness for the Gourmet range, and finally, in December, a ripe black olive is harvested, which will produce the extra virgin olive oils of the Family range, with less intensity and fruitiness, but of an excellent quality.
