White wine made exclusively from a selection of the best Verdejo grapes and endorsed by the Rueda Qualified Designation of Origin.
The grapes are harvested at night to preserve their aromatic potential and organoleptic characteristics to the maximum until they reach the winery. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks and is completed in around 15–20 days. After resting for 2 to 3 months and stabilising, the wine is filtered and then bottled.
Pale straw yellow colour with greenish hues. Intense and delicate aroma, combining white fruits with hints of white flowers and medlar. Round, smooth and unctuous on the palate, with a pleasant bitter finish that gives it great persistence.
This wine is ideal for accompanying appetisers, seafood, oily fish, rice dishes and white meats.
Marqués de Griñón™ are signature wines, created in the 1970s by Carlos Falcó y Fernández de Córdoba, who was considered the most renowned Spanish winemaker with international recognition and influence, and who was the 5th Marquis of Griñón.
Pagos de Familia Marqués de Griñón is a family-run business whose aim is to achieve excellence and a distinctive personality in the olive oils and wines it produces.
To achieve this, it relies on an ancient European tradition, the pago, which consists of producing olives or grapes separately, in situ, from an estate with uniform soil and microclimatic characteristics that characterize it as a distinct terroir.
It was Don Carlos Falcó who, from 1974 onwards, promoted this age-old agricultural tradition by giving it a new commercial dimension.
He set about making the Marqués de Griñón brand a global symbol of excellence in olive oil and wine. In fact, Pagos de Familia Marqués de Griñón has managed to position itself in the world's top lists for these two essential elements of Mediterranean food and culture.
