Tierras de Canena Extra virgin olive oil

Premium extra virgin olive oil produced in Canena (Jaén) from Picual olives. It is notable for its high stability and a sensory profile characterised by a slight bitterness and pungency.

The production process begins in the vast olive groves of Jaén, where the olives are carefully tended by the expert hands of the olive growers until they reach the optimum point of ripeness at the time of harvesting, which usually begins in mid-October with the early harvest.

The olives are carefully selected and cold-pressed at less than 25°C using mechanical processes and without the use of chemicals or additives, in order to preserve their aroma and flavour intact and prevent the oxidation processes from accelerating.

Tierras de Canena has received significant national and international awards throughout its long history, including the Double Gold Medal at the Athena IOOC, the Expoliva International Award, the Grand Golden Mosque at the Mezquita Awards, as well as Gold Medals at CINVE, Olive Japan, Berlin GOOA, London IOOC and Los Angeles IOOC. Its quality has also been recognised at IberOleum and Jaén Selección.
