Extra virgin olive oil produced in Los Navalmorales (Toledo) with Cornicabra olives and certified with the Montes de Toledo PDO.
The careful harvesting and production process using cold extraction results in a balanced and harmonious extra virgin olive oil.
The nose reveals ripe olive fruitiness, with sweet and smooth notes. The unmistakable presence of red fruits, mainly strawberry, is noteworthy. It is sweet on the palate, with hints of red fruits giving way to the bitter olive leaf flavour characteristic of the Cornicabra variety. In the final phase of tasting, a medium spiciness appears, providing a very pleasant persistence. There is a perfect balance between bitterness and spiciness, making this extra virgin olive oil the perfect choice for our cuisine.
Food pairing: Thanks to its medium-high intensity bitterness and spiciness, you can prepare excellent combinations and dishes with less oil than other varieties. It is highly recommended for frying, as the Cornicabra variety maintains its properties at high temperatures. It is also recommended for consumption raw, accompanying salads, toast or pizzas, as well as red meats, fish with intense flavours (salmon, cod), cold creams and desserts.

The history of Finca La Pontezuela dates back to June 1974, the year in which a family from Mora decided to purchase some land located in the municipality of Los Navalmorales, in the province of Toledo (Castilla-La Mancha), a town that has been dedicated to olive growing since ancient times.
After acquiring this land, they decided to embark on an exciting adventure: the fascinating world that surrounds the cultivation of centenary olive trees, the care of the land and its landscape, until they managed to obtain a high quality extra virgin olive oil. A unique product, so typical of our culture and our roots.
The first thing they recognise at La Pontezuela is its privileged location. They love the surroundings, the colours, the orography and the unbeatable views of the Montes de Toledo. Moreover, it is complemented by being located next to the Cabañeros National Park and, at the same time, close to the Sierra de Gredos.
The possibilities of transformation and improvement of the environment encouraged this family from Toledo to undertake a series of improvements in relation to agricultural and landscape aspects. Today, it is as if they were in the heart of the Tuscan countryside, surrounded by centuries-old olive trees and their magnificent extra virgin olive oil, with sunsets that mesmerise all those who decide to visit them.
If we look at the meaning of their premium brand Finca La Pontezuela 5 Elementos Gran Selección, it represents the four elements of Mother Nature (water, earth, fire and air) to which they decided to incorporate, as could not be otherwise, a fifth element: the wood of their olive trees. Thus forming the central axis of their extra virgin olive oil: the 5 elements of nature, heirs of Western thought.
Their extra virgin olive oil is certified with the Protected Designation of Origin Montes de Toledo and endorsed with the SIQEV quality seal. In addition, they have more than 70 prestigious national and international awards that accredit the excellence of Finca La Pontezuela 5 Elementos Gran Selección. Countries such as the United States, Japan, Germany, China, France, the United Kingdom, Italy and Spain have highlighted the enormous qualities of this EVOO.
