Early-harvest extra virgin olive oil produced in Mancha Real (Jaén) using Picual olives and covered by the Sierra Mágina Protected Designation of Origin. It bears the ‘Calidad Certificada’ seal, awarded by the Regional Government of Andalusia, and the ‘Degusta Jaén’ quality mark, awarded by the Provincial Council of Jaén.

The selection and harvesting of the fruit that gives rise to Dominus Cosecha Temprana is its key distinguishing feature, as it takes place in mid-October, when the olives are in their early stages of ripeness. This provides an organoleptic profile of great intensity and freshness. The olives are pressed at a temperature below 21°C, which gives the oil a power and complexity of aromas that make it truly unique.

The intensity of its fruitiness on the nose is complex and harmonious, with deep almond notes. The breadth of its aroma begins with tomato, continues with green banana peel and ends with hints of wild flowers. In the background, notes of thyme and rosemary emerge. It has a smooth entry on the palate, with fresh, light and elegant notes that express the presence of aromatic herbs combined with raw nuts. It possesses excellently balanced bitter and spicy notes. After tasting, the palate is left with a deep sensation of freshness, with light hints of green almond and raw nuts.

Food pairing: This extra virgin olive oil is ideal for enjoying raw, allowing you to appreciate all its nuances. It enhances the flavour of salads with tomatoes and fresh herbs, grilled green asparagus and charcoal-grilled artichokes. It also brings out the flavour of mild fish such as sea bass, gilthead seabream or cod. It pairs perfectly with fresh and semi-mature cheeses, as well as with toasted bread.

Dominus Cosecha Temprana has won top awards and tasting competitions at both national and international level. It has been recognised at Flos Olei, Jaén Selección and IberOleum. It has also won awards at specialist competitions in Athens, New York and Verona.

The history of Monva has been written on the land of Sierra Mágina, where they have carved out a legacy of respect for the environment, self-discipline, perseverance and attention to detail.

Five generations have listened to the silence of the olive grove, interrupted only by the song of the numerous species of birds that inhabit their estates. The family also belongs to this habitat and lives its life cycle around the olive tree and the olive.

The founders, Francisco Montabes and Araceli Vañó, came from olive-growing families who cultivated olive trees in Sierra Mágina. When they bought the Cortijo Virgen de los Milagros in 1971, Montabes Vañó, S.L. (MONVA) was born. The tradition, experience and values established by its founders are carried on today by their successors.

In 1984, they planted 35,000 olive trees to replace the cereal crops that occupied part of the estate, and little by little the project began to grow. A few years later, in 1997, they opened their own bottling plant and made their first exports of extra virgin olive oil to Japan and South Korea. In 2021, Monva celebrated its 50th anniversary, with three generations of the family working in the company.

In recent years, Monva has received numerous awards and recognitions that endorse it as one of the largest producers in the olive oil sector. Not only have Flos Olei, Jaén Selección and IberOleum highlighted it on numerous occasions for the quality of its extra virgin olive oil, but it has also received gold medals in international competitions in Athens, New York and Verona.
