DESCRIPCTION:

Organic extra virgin olive oil from L'Albagés (Lleida) produced with Arbequina olives and protected under Les Garrigues Designation of Origin. The olives are harvested early and pitted before going through the 10 classic stages of olive oil production. On average, 12 kg. of Arbequina olives are needed to obtain 1 litre of Elixir Pitted BIO.

On the nose it is an intense green fruity oil with fresh and herbaceous touches and notes of green leaf, artichoke, mint and green banana peel. On the palate it has a smooth and light texture, with a medium bitterness and moderate spiciness very well balanced and a fruity finish with almond aftertaste. It is a very surprising oil, as it has a very marked flavour and aroma for the Arbequina variety.

Food pairing: Bread with tomato, eggs, seafood, white asparagus, pasta with tomato, fruit salads, roasted vegetables and soft cheeses.

Cuadrat Valley has won the Gran Producer Award for the Best Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil of the 2024/25 Harvest in the Intense Green Fruity category. In addition, Elixir Pitted BIO EVOO has been included in the Top 100 Evooleum of the World's Best Extra Virgin Olive Oils, being number 1 in the Best Arbequina category with 89 points.

Eighty years later, when an olive grove came up for sale in L'Albagés,...
