Extra virgin olive oil from Canena (Jaén) is a monovarietal of the Picual variety.
Impacting on the nose for intensity of grass and aromas, being especially intense the leaves of tomato, artichoke and freshly cut grass, the palate emphasizes the sensations of aromatic intensity and fruitiness; tomato, vegetables and field seasoned with an almost imperceptible itch.
Recomended uses: Dressings with garlic and spices, sautéed vegetables, fish on the back, grilled vegetables with coarse salt (asparagus, zucchini, eggplant), bread with olive oil and salt or with tomato spread, salads dressed with sherry vinegars, salads of cod with orange and spring onion, cured and very cured cheeses, seasoned potatoes (boiled potatoes, pepper tomato, boiled egg and tuna), white garlic, wok vegetables, grilled tuna, gazpachos, salmorejo, pasta salads, legumes and rice.
Its tasting notes are medium fruity, an intense bitter and a medium spicy.
