DESCRIPCTION:
The Alimentos de España Award has been awarded annually since 1997 by the Spanish Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food.
It rewards the best Spanish extra virgin olive oils in three categories: Best Bitter Green Fruity, Best Sweet Green Fruity and Best Mature Fruity. In turn, the oil that obtains the highest total score is awarded the Alimentos de España Special Award for Best Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
These were the oils awarded in 2021:
- Best Bitter Green Fruity and Alimentos de España Special Award: O-Med Limited Edition Picual (Granada)
- Best Sweet Green Fruitiness: Oro de Cánava Picual (Jaén)
- Best Mature Fruity Olive Oil: Pago de Valdecuevas Arbequina (Valladolid)
Presented in an elegant cardboard box that includes 3 bottles of 500 ml. and a diploma certifying the award.
