In 1986, Francisco Riberas, by then one of Spain's most solid businessmen, acquired the La Ventilla estate in El Carpio de Tajo (Toledo) to start his farming business. He soon stamped his special character on the new activity and over the years he widened the boundaries of that small farm until it became an enormous mosaic of crops and uses.
Almost ten years later, in 1996, he undertook an ambitious transformation of the estate, successively planting up to 300,000 olive trees. The favourable conditions of the area, and the painstaking dedication applied to its care, make the crop behave generously, giving us a delicate olive of unbeatable quality.
Only through a deep respect and knowledge of the environment, combining the peaceful enjoyment of the countryside with the most modern agricultural management techniques, have the most precious attributes of this ancient fruit been able to be expressed in all their excellence.
This oil is intended as a simple tribute from his family and all those who had the privilege of working with him, to the unrepeatable person of Francisco Riberas, who never saw the culmination of that project.
