The company Vermut Papatán S.L. was founded in 2023 and just one year after its arrival on the market it was named Best Vermouth in the World at the prestigious international Catavinum World & Wine Spiritis Competition.

Antonio Caballero, founder of the company, chose the name of the brand as a tribute to his paternal grandfather Sebastián, known as Papatán. Caballero worked for years on the research and elaboration of vermouth to achieve excellence with Papatán.

The secret to the success of Papatán semi-sweet vermouth is the blending of Jaén Blanca wine from Torreperogil with botanicals indigenous to the area (fennel, camomile, eucalyptus and rosemary). By means of a slow and natural maceration process, as no essence or flavour enhancer is added, a vermouth with personality is obtained, which provides a surprising experience to the palate.
