DESCRIPCTION:

Young red wine aged for 3 months in barrels. Made from 100% Monastrell free-runner grapes.

The grapes used to make this wine come from ungrafted vines over thirty years old, with a yield per vine of less than one kilo.

The grapes were harvested in plastic crates with a capacity of fourteen kilos of grapes. In the winery they were checked and sorted and carefully crushed. The vatting lasted for a week, in stainless steel tanks of 10,000 litres capacity, with temperature control and pumping over. After racking and malolactic fermentation, the wine was aged for a short period of 3 months in new American oak barrels (2/3) and French oak barrels (1/3).

Intense, bright red colour. Aromas of ripe fruit, perfectly combining the nuances of oak with spicy notes and a touch of toast. Powerful, with complex sensations: smooth, ripe red fruit flavour, with tannins, velvety and with a fruity aftertaste. Long and very pleasant aftertaste.

Ideal with rice dishes, stews and red and white meats. It goes well with roast fish, pasta and cured cheeses, cured meats and pulses. Pasta, salads and ideal with appetizers or on its own.

This wine has been internationally awarded the Decanter Bronze Medal 2020 and the Silver Medal ‘Bacchus International’ 2020.
