DESCRIPCTION:
Premium extra virgin olive oil of early harvesting and cold extraction resulting from olives in veraison of the Picual (60%) and Arbequina (40%) varieties.
Produced in the Tabernas Desert (Almeria), it stands out for its opaque and intense green colour, characteristic of oils recently extracted from the first early harvest.
The aroma and flavour of this oil is exceptionally intense. On the nose, the vegetal notes of tomato, freshly cut grass, apple and almond stand out. The palate is astringent with medium pungency and bitterness.
Good balance between mouth and nose, perfectly complementing the two varieties from which it comes (Picual and Arbequina) and resulting in a unique and unrepeatable blend.
Pairing: Fresh cheeses, green salads, cold sauces, tomato with garlic, toast or simply to finish a dish.
Why is it called Oro del Desierto Limited Edition 1/10? Because it is an oil obtained from olives harvested at the beginning of October, when the olives are still in early veraison, and because it takes 10 kg. of olives to obtain a litre of oil of this quality at this time of year.
