DESCRIPCTION:
Piquillo peppers are an authentic gastronomic jewel of Spanish cuisine. It is a very characteristic pepper from the province of Navarre, in the north of Spain. The best piquillo peppers are produced in the magnificent orchards along the Ebro River, and are made with love and dedication day after day.
This culinary ingredient was first brought to Spain with the discovery of America, and since then it has become a traditional vegetable to flavour all the dishes of its gastronomy.
They are carefully harvested during the months of September and November, and are cleaned by hand one by one following the most artisanal processes. In keeping with the traditional way of preparing piquillo peppers, they are roasted and peeled by hand. Finally, they are delicately packaged so that they retain all the properties, flavour and texture that an excellent Spanish piquillo pepper should have.
