This is an extra-virgin olive oil-based condiment infused with chillies, offering a slightly herbaceous and spicy flavour. The beneficial properties of olive oil, such as antioxidants, and the digestive, analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties of chillies make it a healthy condiment.
Free from chemicals and additives, it has a crisp, spicy flavour that comes through at the end of a mild starter.
It's perfect for marinades and for adding a spicy touch to vegetable stews. It adds a delicious roasted chilli flavour to soups, ramen, pasta and rice dishes. A few drops of this oil in baked dishes such as cakes, pizzas, focaccia or toast will also reveal its full flavour. A garlic paste with chilli oil, roasted garlic and a little salt makes a delicious accompaniment to toast.
