Exceptional quality saffron threads, hand-picked using traditional methods to handle each thread delicately. Threads are of a deep, intense red color. The aroma is warm and sweet, and the flavor tantalizes the palate and excites the senses. Ideal for all types of stews and rice dishes. Crush the threads in a mortar and dilute in the stew 10 minutes before finishing cooking. Alternatively, make an infusion in a glass with a little boiling water and let it steep for at least an hour to use the infusion directly. The coloring power of saffron is the main indicator, along with its flavor and aroma, of its quality.
The higher the values of crocin, the higher the category to which saffron belongs. Antonio Soto saffron is IFS food certified, certificate No. CC-IFS-32/17 ISO category I (Superior) with a minimum coloring power of 220 units.
