DESCRIPCTION:

Organic extra virgin olive oil from L'Albagés (Lleida) produced with Arbequina olives harvested in October, when the fruit is still green. This oil is protected under Les Garrigues Designation of Origin and it is considered a true elixir, as it stands out for its pronounced freshness and pungency. On average, 11 kg. of Arbequina olives are needed to obtain 1 litre of Elixir BIO Early Harvest. With a very low acidity level, it ranks among the great olive oils.

On the nose it is an intense green fruity oil with notes of fresh grass and green leaves, and also notes of green almonds, hints of mint and artichoke that bring freshness and naturalness. On the palate we find an oil with a smooth and dense texture, with a medium bitterness and a balanced spiciness. Its flavour is very fresh and clean, with a lingering finish.

Food pairing: Fresh salads, toasted bread, blue fish, white meats, pasta with pesto, vegetable soup and vegetable risotto.

Cuadrat Valley has won the Gran Producer Award for the Best Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil of the 2024/25 Harvest in the Sweet Green Fruity category.

Eighty years later, when an olive grove came up for sale in L'Albagés,...
